Twin futon bunk bed – The construction of a bunk bed that supports futon mattresses is, in many ways, the same as a bunk for regular mattresses. The only difference is that their support platforms must be able to support the entire futon. These plans are for bunk beds for double-sized futons, but can be modified to fit larger pillows by adjusting the dimensions of the wood.
Drill two holes in and through each end of a 74-inch bundle using a drill bit of the same diameter as the bolts. Place the holes in the center line of the 4-inch face of the beam, 3 inches and 5 inches from each end. Repeat the step beam each other 74 inches.
Drill two holes through one of your 6 inch square posts using the same bit. Then, drill the holes in a line perpendicular to the length of the message, 12 inches from the end of the beam. Drill a 3-inch hole from the edge of the post, the other 5 inches from the same edge. Make two more holes in the same position aligned with the first two holes and 12 inches from the other end of the pole. Drill a hole in each of the two posts of 6 inches by 6 inches, perpendicular to the line of the other holes.
