Anyone who uses rustic bedding king knows the freedom they can give you. The duvet covers are much easier to wash than bedspreads and down duvets that can be a real challenge to get in the washing machine. On the other hand, the price of the duvet cover can be sky-high, but there is an easy way to make a duvet cover, even if you want a king size. These directions are easy to follow, even if you are not a seamstress.
To put the blanket together
Buy two top / flat sheets in color or design of your primate. Place the first flat blade on the floor and see the side facing up is “pretty” side. Place the second bedding king on top of the second sheet, making sure the side down is “pretty”. Combine the three sides of the two sheets together. Do not sew the top of the sheets together. Use the sewing machine to sew the three straighteners.
Apply the Velcro
Take the Velcro strap and cut five 3-inch strips. Sew the first Velcro to the inside of the lower sheet, one inch from the edge of the sheet. Sew adjacent piece of Velcro to opposite sheet 1 inch from edge of sheet. Make sure when you are done sew them that they merge easily. Sew the first Velcro to the inside of the lower sheet, one inch from the other edge. Sew adjacent piece of Velcro to the opposite sheet 1 inch from the other edge. You should be able to join these two pieces easily. Note that both edges of the rustic bedding should merge.
